Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within music in the Latin mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) won a Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017 Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was released through La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. Vaina Loca, which was the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina, his chart-topping sophomore album in the years following. He also was in a duet with TINI for her hit stream track Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a music-oriented environment as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. In his interviews, he said music participation as mandatory. When he was a kid playing the guitar ukulele as well as piano. The initial goal was to become a vet however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with an instructor from a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he discovered his own talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
