Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress who is famous for her performances in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Hain Koun..! The 80s were when she started her acting career and was a hit with her role of Tezaab, in which she appeared alongside famous actor Anil Kapooor. In the following film, she starred in the movie Dil where she co-starred on the screen with Aamir Khan. In Mumbai where she grew up, she was in a family of middle-class parents. As a child, she began to learn about age, she started to study dance. When she was a teenager she started acting, and struggled for years as the majority of her films at first were unsuccessful. The actress gained fame and was one of India's leading film actresses. After marriage, she had an absence from work before returning to entertainment. She was a key character for the film Gulaab Gang, a film which explores women's struggles within India. Dixit has been nominated for fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she won eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize in India, was bestowed upon Dixit. Her social work is also very well-known.
